2019 iPhone to come with underwater mode

Apple iPhone is a great device on the market. Apple is selling hundreds of millions of iPhone units every year, making it one of the biggest companies out there. Last year, Apple welcomed three new iPhones including iPhone XS, XS Max, and XR to the world. In reality, the 2018 iPhone lineup is not a significant upgrade over its predecessors, but there is still something new, from a bigger screen and better camera to longer battery life.

However, Apple is reporting slow iPhone sales out there. Apple CEO Tim Cook said that there is now a low demand for newer iPhones in China. The reason behind this is that Apple fails to compete with the local smartphone brands like Xiaomi or Huawei. Apple is planning something new to boost its sales out there. We have heard a lot of speculation that this year’s iPhones will come with a lot of new features like an in-display fingerprint scanner, a triple camera setup, and an underwater mode. In reality, smartphones with under-display biometric scanners are not new out there with Samsung joining the club. And Apple does not want to get left behind in the fight.

Sources say that Apple will unveil three new iPhone models including a 5.8 inch iPhone XI, a 6.4 inch iPhone XI Max, and a 6.1 inch iPhone XR 2. In reality, the iPhone XR was a surprise at the last year’s event, and it had a good start with millions of registrations. Besides, all iPhones will be equipped with OLED display panels at launch, allowing for more details and higher pixel density.

Apple first used an OLED panel on its iPhone in 2017. Sources say that Apple will switch to OLED panels for 2019 iPhones. The Cupertino firm has been sourcing OLED panels from Samsung, but reports say that LG Display will join Apple’s supply chain this year and provide Apple with hundreds of millions of OLED units.

Apart from new iPhones, Apple is expected to announce two new MacBook Pros and iPads this year. The new MacBook Pro will feature the same design as the current model as Apple focuses on hardware upgrades.
