We are now so close to Apple’s March event and the Cupertino firm has started to send out invites to the world press for its show. Apple today announced its “It’s Show Time” event that will be held on March 25. In reality, rumors regarding Apple’s March event have been out there for months, hinting at a number of new products like a new MacBook, a cheaper HomePod, and a new TV streaming service.
Apple has long been rumored to announce its own TV streaming service. However, it needs more time to work on it and it is now ready for launch. The new TV service will put Apple in contention with Netflix and Amazon Prime. Specifically, the March event will kick off at 10 am Pacific Time at the Steve Jobs Theater in California. In reality, Apple did not mention what it will announce at the event, but we are expecting some new hardware products. Last year, the Cupertino firm unveiled a new 9.7 inch iPad at its education event in March, so it’s likely that Apple will do the same thing this year.
Sources claim that a new iPad will show up at this year’s event with a slew of new improvements. Tech experts say that the new tablet will sport an 11-inch display while retaining the 3.5mm headphone jack. Besides, there will be AirPods 2 and AirPower at the event. In reality, AirPower was initially scheduled for 2018 release, but it was nowhere to be found. AirPower is Apple’s first charging mat that made its debut back in September 2017 and it remains unclear when it will launch to the public.
Rumors also say that Apple will announce a refresh to its iPod Touch at the event. The iPod Touch lineup has not received an update for years, which raises concerns that Apple would discontinue the series. The new iPod Touch will feature a new design with smaller bezels and edge-to-edge display. Apple will provide a live stream of its event on its devices. You can watch the live event on any operating system out there like Windows or Android.
