Apple iOS is getting better and smarter every year. Last year, Apple announced iOS 12 after months of leaks and rumors. iOS 12 is the latest iOS software update that brings with it a slew of improvements and changes. One of the biggest features coming to iOS 12 lies in screen time, a handy tool that details how much time you are spending on your device and using your favorite apps.

iOS 12 comes with a number of features that have been demanded for years among iPhone fanatics. One such feature is group FaceTime calling feature, which allows you to join a FaceTime session that includes up to 32 people at the same time. However, the feature was not ready when the final build of iOS released to the public in September. Starting with iOS 12.1, group FaceTime is finally here.

iOS 12 supports a wide range of iPhone and iPad models. And, Apple is encouraging iPhone owners to update to iOS 12. The latest reports claim that iOS 12 is now installed on 75 percent of all devices on the market, up from 50 percent reported in October 2018. Besides, 17 percent of devices on the market are now running iOS 11, while 8 percent of devices are running older versions of iOS. According to sources, around 90 percent of all active devices will run iOS 12 by the end of 2019. iOS 12 is attracting a lot of users thanks to its high level of stability. However, there have been reports of issues iPhone owners are facing with Apple’s latest iOS version ranging from issues with connectivity to app crashes.

Last month, Apple announced iOS 12.1.2 to all compatible devices. The update focuses on system improvements and bug fixes. Besides, the update serves as Apple’s strategic plan to deal with iPhone sales ban in China and Germany. Indeed, a Chinese court ordered a ban on almost all iPhone models in the country after reports of patent infringement. In reality, Apple and Qualcomm have been in dispute as the chipmaker accused Apple of violating many of its patents. Apple ditched Qualcomm to switch to Intel for modem chips, but Apple has been working on its own chips.
