iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max now available for pre-order

At this year’s September event, Apple debuted three iPhones, including iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR. Basically, all of this year’s iPhones do not bring in a significant upgrade over their previous models. However, there are a lot of hardware changes underneath the surface.

The iPhone XS Max has the largest OLED display Apple has ever created on the market. The XS Max is the top-tier model that targets the premium smartphone segment so it won’t come cheap at launch. Specifically, the XS Max costs more than $1000 for the basic model with 64GB of internal storage. Meanwhile, the 512GB price is $1,449 in the US. In reality, the iPhone XS Max is the most expensive flagship phone on the market. With a staggering price tag, you will get a bigger, stunning display, a much-improved Face ID, and an excellent camera performance. The XS Max will be Apple’s main focus this year to take on Samsung’s top-tier devices.

Both iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max are now available for pre-order, shortly after the launch event. Specifically, big US-based carriers have started taking pre-orders for the phones. Besides, Best Buy, one of the biggest retailers in the US, are accepting pre-orders starting on September 14. Apple officially confirmed that the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max will be available worldwide starting on September 21. The Cupertino firm posted a list of the first wave launch markets, including big names like the US, the UK, France, China, or Hong Kong. The second wave starts the following Friday and hits more than 30 countries worldwide.

Apple is expecting to ship around 15 million iPhone XS and iPhone XS Plus during the first wave. Back in 2015, the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus set a sales record with more than 13 million units sold during the first three days after availability. Tech experts say that Apple will report strong sales this year even though its new iPhone models do not bring in revolutionary changes.

One of the biggest changes in this year’s iPhone models lies in their camera with support for smart HDR. With Smart HDR, you can take multiple shots at the same time, and then your phone will analyze the best portions of each and create the best optimal photos.
