Steps to remove books from your iPhone/iPad
Before getting started, note that the ebook or PDF saved in the Cloud and available via your Kindle app will be removed from your device but remain in the Cloud. Here’s how:
Step 1: Open the Kindle app on your iPhone/iPad.
Step 2: Go to your Library that contains all of your books. Here, scroll down to the Device section, and tap on it.
Step 3: While in list mode, swipe left on the book, and then you choose either Delete (samples) or Archive (purchased books).
While in grid mode, tap and hold on the book, and then you choose either Delete Permanently (samples) and Remove from Device (purchased books).
Steps to delete books from the Kindle Cloud permanently
Step 1: On your computer, point your web browser to Amazon.com and sign in with your account.
Step 2: Click the arrow beside Your Account in the top left corner.
Step 3: From the drop-down menu, click Manage Your Content and Devices.
Step 4: You will be presented with a list of all your books stored in the Cloud and/or on your devices. Find the book(s) you wish to delete.
Step 5: Click the box beside the title you wish to delete, and then click Delete near the top.
Step 6: Lastly, you simply click Yes, delete permanently.
That’s it. You are all done. It’s good to know that if you delete a book from the Cloud permanently, you will not be able to read the book. If you want to read it, you will have to buy it again. It’s a good idea to archive your books to free up space in your Kindle so that you won’t lose the purchased items.
