Motorola

Motorola was once among the biggest smartphone makers on the market, with hundreds of millions of phone units sold every year. Motorola saw a lot of hard times in the past few years in an attempt to reclaim some ground it had lost to Samsung and Apple. Back in 2014, the Chinese firm, Lenovo officially acquired Motorola, giving the company the rights to offer Motorola-branded phones on the market.

Motorola is coming back out there, mainly thanks to its G lineup of smartphones. Moto G phones are among the best-selling mobile devices on the market. Motorola’s phone is best known for their good specs and affordable costs. The company is selling millions of Moto G smartphones every quarter.

Back in April, Motorola announced Moto G5S and Moto G5S Plus following months of rumors. Basically, both devices offer several upgrades over their predecessors. The Moto G5S Plus marks a move-away from Motorola’s plastic back design, instead, adding an all-metal body. Basically, the Moto G5s Plus offers a premium look when compared to its Moto G5 Plus.

The Moto G5s Plus runs Android 7.0 Nougat at launch. Back in April, Motorola promised that the company would roll out Android 8.0 Oreo for its Moto G5s Plus this year. True to its promise, the company has begun rolling out Android 8.0 Oreo update to the device.

Motorola says that US-based users can get the update over the air. And, the update will bring Android 8.0 Oreo to the device. The firm confirmed that the update adds a lot of new features, including multitasking mode, notification controls, battery features, and connectivity improvements.

Besides, the device will also get the June security pack that helps protect your files from the prying eyes. Android 8.0 Oreo was first introduced in March 2017 and was officially released in August. The update includes a lot of new features, ranging from a redesigned Settings menu, revamped Files Manager to notifications snoozing and fingerprint scanner gestures.

The Moto G5s Plus is a budget phone that offers amazing features and smooth performance. Sources say that Moto has been working on new phones and will launch them this year.
