Oppo is one of the biggest names in the Chinese smartphone market. The company has been improving its smartphones to offer a better user experience and compete directly with other rivals on the market. Oppo is facing a lot of competition in the Chinese market, but the company is preparing for its international move.
Sources say that Oppo has been trying to bring their phones to the US and Europe this year. The Chinese smartphone firm has recently confirmed the company will hold an event in Paris where it will launch its new flagship phone. Oppo is best known for providing smartphones with premium specs at very affordable costs.
However, at this year’s event, the company will launch a premium phone to target the international markets. The Chinese firm also revealed a poster hinting at what it will show off at the event. Sources say that the company will debut a new phone called Find X at the event. We have heard rumors regarding the device’s specs and design.
Specifically, the new phone will sport a premium glass build, helping it stand in line with top-tier smartphone makers. Under the hood, the device will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset at launch, coupled with 6GB of RAM. Besides, the device will have 256 GB of internal storage.
When it comes to the camera, the device will have a dual-camera setup, offering much-improved low-light photos. Sources say that the device might feature an in-display fingerprint scanner, making it the first Oppo-branded phone with this new security measure.
It remains unknown when Oppo will launch the device to the public. However, sources say that the device will make its debut later this year to compete directly with Apple’s new iPhone models and Samsung phones.
The Chinese smartphone makers are dominating the emerging markets. Huawei is selling millions of smartphone units every quarter, while Xiaomi phone shipments tend to grow every year.
Sources say that Oppo will launch more devices in Europe and US later this year. Some of them belong to mid-range smartphone segment. Sources say that the Oppo-branded phone will cost $500 at launch.
