Apple is finally selling its new Bluetooth earphones, AirPods following the launch event in September 2016. Basically, the new AirPods resemble Apple’s previous earbuds only without wires. With the new AirPods, you can easily pair them with your iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch and Apple Watch as long as you are now signed into the same Apple ID. Besides, switching AirPods with your Apple devices is also pretty simple, but we will show you how.
In this guide, we will walk you through the steps to switch AirPods with your iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Mac manually. Before we begin, make sure that you are now running iOS 10 or later.
Steps to switch AirPods with your iPhone
Step one: First and foremost, you need to open your Control Center on your iPhone by simply swiping up from the bottom of the screen. Once you are done, swipe over to access the Now Playing section
Step two: Next up, you are supposed to tap on the audio destination button and select your AirPods. Alternatively, you can switch AirPods by simply heading to Settings > Bluetooth and choose AirPods
Steps to switch AirPods with your iPad
Step one: First off, you need to access Control Center on your iPad. To do this, you simply need to swipe up from the bottom and swipe over to the Now Playing section
Step two: Once you are done, all you need to do is to tap on the audio destination button and select your AirPods
Steps to switch AirPods with your Apple Watch
Once you have successfully paired AirPods with your Apple iPhone and iPad, they will be automatically connected with your Apple Watch as long as you are now using the same Apple ID. However, there is still an option to switch AirPods with your Apple Watch manually.
Step one: You now need to bring up Control Center on your device and tap on AirPods button
Step two: Once you are done, you simply need to tap on AirPods
Steps to switch AirPods with your Mac
Step one: You first need to head to the Menu bar on your Mac and click on Bluetooth icon
Step two: All you need to click on Connect and select your AirPods.
